Walking in God’s Grace
Scripture:
“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
Message:
Walking in God’s grace is living in the daily awareness that it is His grace that sustains, strengthens, and empowers us in all things. Grace is God’s unmerited favor—something we cannot earn by our good deeds, and yet He freely gives it to us. In times of weakness, when we feel inadequate, God’s grace fills the gap. It lifts us up, carries us through challenges, and allows us to rise above what we could accomplish on our own.
The Apostle Paul experienced this in his own life. Faced with a persistent difficulty, he sought God for relief. But instead of removing the hardship, God reminded Paul that His grace was enough. This grace didn’t just get Paul through; it enabled him to excel in the very place of his weakness, allowing God’s strength to shine through.
Walking in God’s grace means recognizing that we don’t have to strive or rely on our own abilities to meet life’s demands. It means depending on His strength, trusting that His grace will carry us in moments of failure, fatigue, or frustration. It’s also a reminder to extend grace to others as we’ve received it from Him—freely, without condition.
As we walk in grace, we become living testimonies of God’s goodness, reflecting His love, mercy, and strength to the world around us.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your all-sufficient grace. Help me to walk each day in the awareness that Your grace is enough for every challenge I face. Teach me to rely on Your strength and not my own, and to extend the same grace to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
