Title: Value the Gift of Human
Scripture:
“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” — Romans 12:10 (NIV)
Message:
In our busy lives, it can be easy to overlook the immense value of those around us—the family members, friends, colleagues, and even strangers we encounter each day. Each person we meet carries a unique purpose, a story, and a spark of God’s image. Recognizing this helps us not only honor them but also appreciate the depth of God’s creation in humanity.
When we choose to value the gift of human relationships, we align ourselves with God’s own heart. He created us to be in community, to support one another, to love and forgive, and to lift each other up. Jesus modeled this perfectly, always making time for people, showing compassion, and treating each person He met with love and respect. Valuing others means looking past our own needs, frustrations, or judgments to see the worth God has placed in each individual.
God often uses people to bring blessings, lessons, and growth into our lives. When we genuinely value others, we open ourselves up to these gifts and become a vessel of His love in their lives. Let’s make an intentional choice to see others as God does, appreciating their strengths, forgiving their weaknesses, and celebrating their unique journey. In doing so, we fulfill a part of God’s call to love our neighbors as ourselves and to be His light in the world.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. Help me to see them through Your eyes, to value their unique worth, and to treat them with respect and compassion. Let my interactions bring honor to You, and may my love for others reflect Your love for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
