God Gave Me a Reason to Laugh Again

📖 Scripture:
“And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.”
— Genesis 21:6 KJV

There are moments in life when pain seems louder than hope, when delay whispers doubt, and sorrow tries to steal your song. But God specializes in turning mourning into laughter, ashes into beauty, and silence into songs of joy.

Sarah waited for years, bearing the weight of shame, unanswered prayers, and societal mockery. Her womb was considered dead, her hope beyond reason. Yet, when God stepped in—at the appointed time—He did what only He could do. The same lips that once trembled in disbelief were now wide with laughter. She said, “God hath made me to laugh…”

That wasn’t ordinary laughter. It was the kind that only comes when God restores what was lost, redeems time, and revives dreams. It was laughter soaked in testimony, the overflow of a heart that had encountered divine faithfulness.

You may have experienced disappointment, betrayal, delay, or barrenness—emotionally, spiritually, or physically—but hear this: Your story is not over. The Author of life is still writing. And He writes in joy. The same God who gave Sarah a reason to laugh will do the same for you.

Joy is your portion in Christ—not sorrow. You were not created to dwell in grief or regret. There is a prophetic laughter that is about to burst from your lips. It will come suddenly, unexpectedly, and undeniably. It will make others say, “Only God could have done this.”

Don’t suppress your expectation. Let your faith dance again. Let your hope breathe again. Let your spirit laugh again. Your Redeemer lives—and He’s about to make you laugh like never before.

🛐 Prayer:

Father, thank You for being the God who restores joy. Thank You for giving me a reason to laugh again. I believe that Your Word over my life is sure, and I rejoice in advance for the miracles You’re bringing forth. My laughter is a testimony, and my joy is full. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
