My Mouth Shall Be Filled with Joy
đ Scripture:
“Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.”
â Psalm 126:2 KJV
There is a joy that breaks through the hardest seasonsâa joy so loud, so undeniable, that it fills your mouth and overflows into your world. This isnât surface-level happiness. Itâs not rooted in circumstances or temporary victories. It is the supernatural response of a spirit anchored in Godâs faithfulness.
When God turns captivity, He doesnât just restore what was lostâHe restores you. He brings laughter where there was sorrow, singing where there was silence, and dancing where there was delay. The psalmist wasnât exaggerating when he said, âThen was our mouth filled with laughter…â because thatâs what divine turnaround feels like. It fills your mouth. It consumes your heart. It announces your testimony.
You may have gone through a season of tears, but God never wastes pain. He is the Master of divine exchangesâHe takes your mourning and gives you joy, your ashes and gives you beauty, your heaviness and gives you the garment of praise (Isaiah 61:3). And when that joy shows up, your mouth cannot stay silent.
Refuse to let fear, discouragement, or delay rob you of your song. You are not waiting for joyâyou have it now in the Holy Ghost! Itâs a fruit of the Spirit already alive in you (Galatians 5:22). Activate it by faith. Open your mouth and declare His goodness. Sing even when the breakthrough hasnât come. Laugh even when the answer hasnât manifestedâbecause joy is the sound of faith in full expectation.
Let today be the day you fill your atmosphere with joy. Not because everything is perfect, but because your God is perfect in all His ways, and He never fails. Say it with boldness: âMy mouth shall be filled with joy!â
đ Prayer:
Father, I thank You for filling my heart with joy and my mouth with laughter. I refuse to be silent or sorrowful. I speak, sing, and shout because I know You have done great things for me! I live in the overflow of Your goodness, and my life is a testimony of joy unspeakable and full of glory. In Jesusâ Name, Amen.
