I Laughed Because God Showed Up
📖 Scripture:
“And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.”
— Genesis 21:6 KJV
There is a kind of laughter that no man can explain or manufacture. It’s not the laughter that comes from a joke—it’s the laughter that comes when God shows up in a way that leaves you speechless, breathless, and grateful beyond words.
Sarah laughed not because she was entertained, but because she was overwhelmed by grace. Her waiting was long, her body frail, and her hope had withered. But when God stepped into her story and fulfilled His promise—exactly as He said—her only response was laughter.
This is the kind of joy that floods your soul when what you prayed for, cried for, and almost gave up on suddenly happens. It’s the moment God makes good on a promise that felt overdue. You laugh because God interrupted your impossibility with His power.
Beloved, God always shows up. He may not come when we expect Him, but He never fails. He comes with purpose. He comes with fulfillment. He comes with restoration and laughter in His hands. If He promised you something, He will perform it (Romans 4:21). And when He does, your mouth will be filled with laughter and your tongue with singing (Psalm 126:2).
Today, don’t just expect God to work—expect Him to astonish you. Expect Him to move in such a way that people around you will say, “Only God could’ve done this.” The God who showed up for Sarah, Joseph, Hannah, and Lazarus will surely show up for you. And when He does, laughter will return—not out of mockery, but out of miracle.
Get ready to laugh again—not because life is perfect, but because the Perfect One is present.
🛐 Prayer:
Father, thank You for being the God who shows up in power, in purpose, and on time. I trust in Your promises. I believe in Your faithfulness. Fill my mouth with laughter and my heart with joy. May my testimony cause others to rejoice and know that You alone are God. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
