THE ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)

Gratitude is not merely a response to pleasant experiences; it is a spiritual posture—an attitude—that reflects your understanding of God’s grace and goodness. The Word doesn’t say give thanks for everything, but in everything. This means thanksgiving is not dictated by circumstances; it flows from your consciousness of who God is and what He has done in Christ.

Thanksgiving is faith in expression. When you give thanks, you acknowledge that God is at work, even when you don’t yet see the full manifestation. Gratitude recognizes the invisible hand of God arranging things for your good. It’s the language of those who know that God’s Word is dependable and His promises are sure.

Throughout Scripture, thanksgiving always preceded supernatural results. Jesus gave thanks before multiplying the loaves. Paul and Silas praised God in prison before the chains fell off. Thanksgiving creates an atmosphere where God’s power is freely manifested.

When you maintain an attitude of gratitude, you position yourself for continual increase. Murmuring closes doors; gratitude opens them. Complaining amplifies problems; thanksgiving magnifies God. A thankful heart attracts divine favour, peace, joy, and victory.

Today, consciously cultivate gratitude. Thank Him for who He is. Thank Him for what He has done. Thank Him for what He is doing and what He is yet to do. Let thanksgiving become your lifestyle, and you’ll experience God’s power in ways you never imagined.

Hallelujah!
