“The Light Still Shines in Darkness”

📖 Scripture:

“The light shines in darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
— John 1:5

Devotional Message

In times when believers are attacked, persecuted, or even killed for their faith, it may seem as though darkness is prevailing. The pain is real, the loss is heavy, and the cries of God’s people rise like incense before Him. But the Word of God is unshakable: darkness can never overcome the light.

Every time evil rises against Christians, the presence of Christ rises stronger.
Every time the blood of the innocent is shed, the kingdom of God spreads wider — for the blood of the martyrs has always been the seed of revival.

Though wickedness may roar, it will not reign.
Though enemies of the faith may strike, they cannot silence the Church, because the Church is built on Christ, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

God sees every tear.
He hears every cry.
He stands with every believer in danger.
And He will judge those who kill the righteous unless they turn to Him in repentance.

In seasons of persecution, God does not abandon His people —
He reveals Himself even more.
He comforts, He strengthens, He intervenes, and He lifts His Church above the storm.

Beloved, no matter what is happening in Nigeria or anywhere else, remember:
The Light of Christ cannot be extinguished.
The darkness may rage, but it cannot win.
Christ is still Lord.

Prophetic Declaration

I declare that the light of God will shine over Nigeria.
The plans of darkness against the Church shall fail.
Every believer under threat is covered by the blood of Jesus.
The voice of the Church will never be silenced.
The light of Christ will shine in every home, every state, and every community.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Prayer

Father, comfort every family that has lost a loved one.
Defend Your Church.
Surround Christians with Your protection
and frustrate every agenda of violence and persecution.
Let peace reign.
Let justice speak.
Let Your light shine through the darkest moments.
And let the Church in Nigeria stand stronger, bolder, and unshakable.
