Sustained by Divine Mercy
SCRIPTURE: “It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV)
MESSAGE
Every day you stand, every battle you survive, and every blessing you enjoy is proof that you are being sustained by divine mercy. Life is not held together by human strength alone; it is upheld by God’s compassion working behind the scenes.
Mercy is God withholding what you deserve and giving you what you could never earn. It is mercy that keeps you when you feel weak. It is mercy that restores you after mistakes. It is mercy that preserves your life from dangers you never saw.
David understood this when he said, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life” (Psalm 23:6). Mercy is not occasional; it is continual. It follows you into places you go and even into situations you didn’t plan for, ensuring that grace has the final say.
There are times you look back and realize things could have gone worse — but they didn’t. That was mercy. Doors you didn’t deserve still opened. That was mercy. Strength came when you thought you couldn’t go on. That too was mercy.
Today, instead of focusing on what is not perfect, thank God for the mercy that has kept you this far. His mercy is not running out. It is fresh, daily, and powerful enough to carry you through whatever lies ahead.
CONFESSION
I am sustained by divine mercy every day.
God’s compassion upholds me and His faithfulness preserves me.
I do not rely on my strength, but on His mercy that never fails.
Because of His mercy, my life moves forward in grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your unfailing mercy in my life. Thank You for preserving me, strengthening me, and carrying me through seasons I could not have survived on my own. Help me to trust in Your compassion daily and walk in gratitude, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
