The Power to Go Forward
Scripture: “And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.” — Exodus 14:15 (KJV)
Message
There are seasons when standing still feels safer than moving ahead. The unknown can be intimidating. The obstacles can look overwhelming. But when God speaks, hesitation must give way to action.
In Exodus 14, the Israelites stood before the Red Sea with Pharaoh behind them. Fear was loud. Pressure was real. Yet God’s instruction was simple: Go forward.
Notice — the sea had not yet parted. The path was not yet visible. But divine power responds to obedience. Movement activates miracles. When Moses stretched out his rod and the people stepped forward, the waters divided.

The power to go forward is not human courage; it is divine empowerment. God never commands progress without supplying grace. If He says move, it means provision is already prepared, help is already arranged, and victory is already secured.
Sometimes, prayer must transition into motion. Faith is not passive. It advances. It trusts enough to take the next step even when the full picture is not clear.
You may feel surrounded by challenges today. You may see limitations ahead and pressure behind. But God’s voice is stronger than your circumstances. His instruction carries the power to create the path you need.
Do not wait for everything to be perfect. Do not wait until fear disappears. When God says forward, forward becomes possible.
Confession
I receive the power to go forward.
Fear will not hold me back.
Obstacles give way as I move in obedience.
I advance by faith, and the path opens before me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
