Title: The Lord is My Shepherd

Scripture:
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” — Psalm 23:1 (KJV)

Message:
One of the most comforting images in Scripture is that of the Lord as our Shepherd. A shepherd lovingly watches over his sheep, guiding them, protecting them, and ensuring they have everything they need. This verse reminds us that God is not only aware of our needs but is actively providing for them, leading us with care and compassion.

When David wrote this psalm, he knew firsthand the responsibilities of a shepherd, having been one himself. He understood that the well-being of the sheep depended entirely on the shepherd’s commitment and care. In calling God our Shepherd, David was declaring his absolute trust and dependence on God for provision, guidance, and protection.

In our daily lives, we often face uncertainty, stress, and need. But just as a shepherd knows each sheep and tends to it individually, so God knows our hearts, our challenges, and our dreams. He guides us through life’s valleys and leads us to places of peace and rest. Trusting Him as our Shepherd means surrendering our anxieties and knowing He will take care of us, no matter the situation.

As you meditate on this verse, take a moment to thank God for being your Shepherd. Trust that He is working in every area of your life and that with Him, you lack nothing truly essential.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for being my Shepherd and watching over me with such love and care. Help me to trust You fully, knowing that You are guiding and providing for me. May my heart rest in Your presence, for I know that in You, I have all I need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
