God’s Purpose in the Storm
Scripture:
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” — Romans 8:28 (NKJV)
Message:
Storms in life are often unexpected, leaving us feeling overwhelmed and uncertain. Yet, for those who love God and are called according to His purpose, storms are not without meaning. They are divine opportunities for growth, transformation, and a deeper understanding of God’s faithfulness.
God does not send storms to destroy us but to refine us. Through challenges, He strengthens our faith, builds our character, and redirects our focus toward His eternal purposes. When we face trials, we often seek Him more earnestly, learning to depend on His strength rather than our own.
Consider the disciples in the storm-tossed boat (Mark 4:35-41). In their fear, they called out to Jesus, who calmed the winds and waves with a word. The storm revealed not only His power but also their need to trust Him fully. In the same way, every storm we face holds the potential to deepen our relationship with God and reveal His glory in our lives.
Do not fear the storm; embrace it as part of God’s plan. Trust that He is with you, working all things for your good and His glory. Remember, the storm will pass, but the lessons and the blessings it brings will remain.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being with me in every storm. Help me to trust in Your purpose and see the lessons You are teaching me through every challenge. Strengthen my faith and guide me through to the calm You have promised. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
