The Lord is My Strength
Scripture:
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” — Psalm 28:7 (NIV)
Message:
In the journey of life, we often encounter situations that test our endurance and faith. In those moments, it’s comforting to know that the Lord is our strength. His power sustains us when we feel weak, and His presence reassures us when we feel uncertain.
Strength from God is not just physical; it encompasses emotional, spiritual, and mental fortitude. When you rely on Him, He gives you the ability to endure trials, resist temptation, and overcome obstacles. It is not about what you can do on your own, but what God can do through you.
David, the psalmist, understood this truth. His victories, both personal and as a king, came from relying on God’s strength. He knew that the Lord’s help was a source of protection and joy. Trusting God doesn’t just provide strength—it also brings peace and a song of praise.
Whatever you are facing today, declare boldly, “The Lord is my strength.” Trust Him to carry you through, and let His joy energize your spirit. His strength is made perfect in your weakness.
Prayer:
Lord, You are my strength and my shield. When I feel weak, help me to rely on Your power and trust in Your unfailing love. Fill my heart with joy and give me a song of praise even in challenging times. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
