EVANGELISM BY THE SPIRIT
Scripture Reading
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…”
— Acts 1:8 (KJV)
Message
Evangelism is not meant to be carried out by human strength alone. Jesus made it clear that the work of reaching the world would be empowered by the Holy Spirit. He told His disciples that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them, enabling them to be effective witnesses.
The Holy Spirit is the One who prepares hearts to receive the message of the Gospel. He gives believers boldness, wisdom, and the right words to speak at the right time. When you rely on Him, sharing the message of Christ becomes natural and impactful.
Sometimes people hesitate to share their faith because they feel unqualified or unsure of what to say. But evangelism by the Spirit removes that fear. When you yield yourself to His guidance, He directs your conversations and opens doors of opportunity.
The Spirit also works within the hearts of those who hear the message. He brings conviction, understanding, and a desire for truth. Your role is simply to be available and obedient while the Spirit accomplishes the deeper work.
Therefore, approach evangelism with confidence, knowing that you are not alone. The Holy Spirit works through you to reach others and bring them into the Kingdom of God.
