The God of Second Chances
Scripture Focus:
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
We serve a God who doesn’t write people off. No matter how far you’ve fallen, how long you’ve been away, or how broken your story feels—God specializes in second chances.
Peter denied Jesus three times, yet God chose him to preach the first gospel message after Pentecost. Jonah ran away, but God redirected him back to purpose. The prodigal son wasted his inheritance, but the father welcomed him with open arms.
God’s mercy rewrites our mistakes. His love overrules our regrets. He restores, renews, and repurposes.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your mercy that gives me another chance. Help me to walk in the fullness of Your forgiveness and embrace the new beginning You offer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
